Happy Birthday, Amara and Juliet. I had so much planned for the girls but of course, things happen and things didn’t work out how I planned. They usually have a big birthday party. But this year we kept it simple. Not necessarily by choice, I do wish we had what we planned but they still had a blast. Plus they still go their birthday gifts: AMERICAN GIRL DOLLS!
We started the day with a little surprise, some pink balloons and sprinkle pancakes. We got ready in matching peach and gold colored dresses. Grandma was the behind the lovely outfit choice of course with the girl’s picky taste. (thank you, Grandma)
We headed to Victorian Gardens in Central Park. It’s pretty nice there. NOTE: if your child is above 42 inches he/she can basically ride everything alone. You don’t really need to purchase the unlimited ride band for yourself if they have a sibling, friend, or don’t mind riding alone. Also, I didn’t know there was a Groupon for this which would have saved us 3/4 of what we paid. We did the whole park in 1 1/2 hours, there are about 10-12 rides and they rode each one about twice. Since it was a weekday there were no lines to get on the rides.
NEXT STOP AMERICAN GIRL PLACE
After the amusement park, we hopped on a cab to American Girl Place. We spent about 2 hours there. The girls were going nuts! Julie was having trouble deciding what doll she wanted, then it was time to find the perfect outfit for their new friends. I didn’t take many photos of the store because I was being dragged and pulled around the store. But I promise we will go again ( not looking forward to that one)
After the store and the end of my funds lol, I spontaneously decided to invite some of their friends over and celebrate a last minute mini party. I really wish I could have invited everyone. Since we were in the moment, I wanted them to have a great end to their day and no more questions about a party. So with struck of a wand (kidding, I ran everywhere) I was able to get some balloons, cupcakes, and party bags. It was a party!
They had a blast!
Even though I wasn’t able to do what I really had planned, I was happy that they still had a great time. Hopefully, things pan put next year!
